Hello fellow bloggers and readers. Well, although I can't believe it, I will be celebrating my 70th birthday on Sunday April 18th 2010. I don't feel it in my head and thank goodness I am pretty physically fit apart from a few aches and pains. However, I no longer like looking at myself in the mirror because that does not lie although people are kind enough to reassure me that I still look pretty good. In candlelight I can believe them. You olduns probably already know where I am coming from now. See, I still try to keep up with modern jargon so you must bear with me. Its not affectation, I want to be part of the human race even though the elderly have very little voice nowadays. Its frustrating to realise how much more you could have achieved given the opportunities in today's world with the advent of internet. I came to IT kicking and screaming because it meant learning so many new things and being afraid of deleting something terribly important or being criticized by someone who I have never met and has no knowledge of who I am unless I write this blog. This is why I have finally decided to start my blog so you will be able to read about me and know me a little better in this new world of Cyberspace. Its all a bit scary but since 5 year olds now learn about internet in school I am up for having a go. I will value any comments you may decide to make but please be gentle with me. I hope my stories will convince other nervous oldies that there is life in old age and it can still be fun.
